They keep their food out late for any of those night owls wanting cereal at 3am in the morning.
It is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff. We had a few concerns: there was a terd in the stool, hair stuck to hairdryer, coffee pot was not clean. The desk chair was in bad condition, the fabric was ripped up.
The continental breakfast is generic but good! They serve hot food!
I spend 40-60 nights a year in hotels. This Country Inn is memorable. They upgraded us to a suite without asking. Also has an excellent breakfast. Great customer service. I'd recommend this establishment - just look at the other reviews. Keep training your staff well.
The bed was comfortable but the pillows were probably the worst I had seen at a hotel. So ask for more at the front desk or just bring your own.
The host didn't have the room ready in time, he offered plenty of solutions but in the end he got us the correct room.
Stayed here in July 2016. This is a very nice hotel. I'd recommend it to anyone EXCEPT I have one BIG complaint and that is the water is WAY too softened making showering a miserable experience. Otherwise it's a clean attractive hotel with great service. It's a very short walk to the Chanhassen dinner theater. It has a complementary breakfast but we had already planned to eat elsewhere so I can't attest to its quality.
First the positive, the hotel lobby and bar were nice and the staff working the day I came in was nice and helpful. Now the negative, I was at the hotel for a Wedding near by, checked into the room and noticed a spill on the floor but figured it could have been a stain and I didn't have time to switch rooms b/c I was in the wedding and had to be with the wedding party. I was in the room after the wedding literally to just sleep. The next morning I found a wadded up tissue in one of the beds which to me means they didn't wash the sheets after the last guest stayed... these two things weren't too bad, not enough for me to write a review but when I checked my bank statement I noticed there was an extra charge for $161.00. When I called to find out what the charge was for they told me it was a fee for marijuana being smoked in the room. when I told them they had it wrong they stated "I understand why you wouldn't want to admit to smoking in the room" but stated they would take the charge off and that someone else would be calling me back. The person that called me back not only didn't believe me but also stated that the hotel lobby was missing a mint dish that was found in my room....they obviously had the wrong room and after arguing and getting two different stories (both managers I talked to stated they were not working the night I stayed in the hotel) (the first one said other guest were complaining and they came to my door and talked to us and the second stating it was the housekeepers who smelled it after we checked out and gave us the charge after we were gone ) they finally told me that the complaint said "few younger people in the room" and said that "you being a married couple staying in the room doesn't really fit that description" and then admitted they probably DID have the wrong room and gave me a quick, not really sincere sounding apology. I will never stay in that hotel again and would not recommend staying there. Its hard to trust a hotel with your credit card when they tack on a fee without your knowledge and then argues with you about it on the phone and when they find out they were wrong , just gives you a quick non-sincere apology.
